“War: The Afterparty” is now on Patreon. From the Patreon.com site, “Founded in May 2013 and based in San Francisco, California, Patreon was created to enable fans to support and engage with the artists and creators they love. Empowering a new generation of creators, Patreon is bringing patronage back to the 21st century.” The video below tells the story. The Afterparty round the world tour of the scenes of U.S. military and covert interventions was funded by a Kickstarter campaign. We raised over $10,000 via 62 backers. It was the most popular print journalism project during its campaign, the second most popular journalism project and the second most popular U.S. journalism project. Patreon will allow us to invest in editorial, production and design, as well as promotion when the book comes out later this year. You can check out the Afterparty Patreon page, and Patreon in general, at www.patreon.com/briangruber.
